AC Cars present the sixth generation of Cobra at Top Marques Monaco

We live in interesting times. Besides being able to buy modern vehicles with a nostalgic appearance, we can also buy (hopefully) a British car that is produced in Germany with a North American engine. What if you can put all these things together? Well, in this case, you would have the sixth generation of AC Cobra, presented at Top Marques Monaco.

Created with aluminium and composite, this car's body helps the vehicle weigh only 1,025 kg, what is also reinforced by the spaceframe chassis. Light and resistant, it supports two engine options, both 6.2-litre V8 units from Chevrolet Corvette. One of them is the LS3, able to produce 437 bhp and installed in the GT version of AC Cobra. The other one is the supercharged LS9, from ZR1, which generates 647 bhp and is under the hood of the GTS version. This machine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 s.

Produced in Heyla by the German company Gullwing GmbH, the new AC Cobra MkVI also features four-pot Porsche brakes with 332 mm vented discs in front and 298 mm vented discs at the rear. Another interesting feature of the car are gullwing doors integrated to a lightweight hardtop that includes a rear window with defogger lines and comes as a standard. According to AC Cars, this allows the naturally convertible sportscar to ride in any weather. Hopefully, in many countries around the world.
