According to Honda, the new car will benefit from a "significant cost reduction in Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) components". IMA is the name Honda gives to its hybrid system. In other words, when the car reaches the market, it will be so cheap, compared to others, that the Japanese automaker expects it to reach annual global sales of 200,000 units per year, half of that in the USA. The new Insight will be produced in Suzuka, Japan.
