Although we are not very much into SUVs when they are on tarmac (they belong to muddy and off-road surfaces), X5 M and X6 M are to be credited for presenting the new version of the 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 that used to generate 407 bhp and now pumps out 563 bhp! Torque is also incredible: 678 Nm from 1,500 rpm to 5,650 rpm.
This engine will very likely be under the hood of the next generation M5, with real advantages over the 507 bhp V10 but for the noise engine. It's downsizing, folks...
