Besides the pictures, the mysterious reader has also provided some information. These pictures were taken at a presentation to dealers last June 23 and they present a whole new aspect for the car. Although its platform is said to be the same one of the previous model, the new C3 seems to be larger. Inside the car, that perception is certain to be even bigger not only due to any real room gain, but also by the fact the car adopts the VisionSpace windshield, which invades part of the roof and allows for an improved view towards light signs, for example.
The new car also presents the new Citroën logo and it shall live with the old C3, contrary to what we expected, and also with the new DS3. It will be interesting to see if the market will embrace three similar-sized cars from the same automaker or if any of them will have to be dropped along the way.
The car will start to be sold in Europe sometime between its presentation at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September, or March 2010, according to the anonymous reader. Engines will be pretty much the same ones already used in the car, ranging from a 59 bhp 1.1-litre petrol unit to a 108 bhp 1.6-litre diesel option. In South America, where this car will also be produced around 2011, it should keep its two flex fuel powerplants, a 82/80 bhp 1.4-litre and a 113/110 bhp 1.6-litre running on ethanol/petrol.
